David Michalski is the Social and Cultural Studies Librarian at the University of California, Davis where he received his Ph.D. in Cultural Studies and Critical Theory. He is the author of The Dialectic of Taste: On the Rise and Fall of Tuscanization and Other Crises in the Aesthetic Economy, (Palgrave 2015) Cosmos and Damian: a World Trade Center Collage, (Bootstrap Press 2005), as well as a number of essays on aesthetics and consumer culture. His dissertation, Taste After Taste: On the Aesthetic Invitation of Wine (2010) is available from Proquest.
